So perhaps you are wondering how to unblock websites at school or work, maby your wondering what a Web proxy is? I'm here to help you. I have over a year experince in running web based proxy sites. There a few things you probably should know. If you don't have time to learn or you already know what they are and how they work. Then below are a few Proxy sites that you can use.

 

These can also be visited on HTTPS, just put a S on http:// , sometimes SSL (secure socket layer) can slip right threw a filter. They have paid and bought Valid SSL certificates from rapidssl, Equafax, Comodo etc..

Beware of Fake Web proxy sites!

 

Over the course of time many spammers have taken notice to this business and now spammers are creating fake web proxy sites that don't actually offer a proxy service on their domain, they merly just have ads on the page and some type of redirection like to embedproxies.com.

I will tell you how to identify this fake sites.

If you see a proxy and it says something. http://unblock.industry9.com

You see a subdomain right? I've highlighted the subdomain in red in case you cannot see it. These are usually fake and just have redirection on them.

When you go to the site they are not offering a proxy service on their server or domain.

 

If you do click and enter into one of these fake proxy sites, and you see this, click your back button and just get out of there.

 

So say the domain is http://unblock.industry9.com and you put http://myspace.com into that form and click "surf anonymously", you will see that the top in your URL bar no longer says unblock.industry9.org it says

cgi.embedproxies.com, So this is not a proxy site it is just a redirection.

Next are sites like don't have actually have url bar or wehn you click surf it redirects you to a page with just Ads. Also avoid those. Almost always this type of spam ones are on free subdomains.

If you own a proxy listing site

 

Do not accept submissions with subdomains, specially if you see embedproxies being used on the site. Go tell them to take a hike.
